I, Idiot

So, I went out for a run on Wednesday night. It was supposed to be a four mile run but it ended up being much longer. Somehow or another as I ran through Ward Circle I turned down Massachusetts Ave rather than Nebraska Ave. I didn’t realise the error until I reached Maryland. I spent another hour trying to find my way out of deepest, darkest Chevy Chase. Not my finest hour.

How could I get lost so close to home?

iSync and the Motorola V276

Out of the box, iSync will not synchronize calendar or contact information with the Motorola V276 cellular phone. But there is a way synchronize iCal and Address Book information across Mac OS X and the V276 without resorting to third party software such as OnSync. Basically a couple of very minor modifications need to be made to a preference file in iSync. [ more … ]

At the Rodeo

I’m just back from attending a conference Steamboat Springs, Colorado. The conference was great, but the most fun part of the trip was attending a rodeo. It was the first time I’d been to one, and though I had a fair idea of what to expect, some of it was still a surprise. In particular the “Pee-Wee Ram Scramble” in which small children chased a ram, attempting to pull a ribbon off its back, was a hoot.
